As Vice Chair of the Committee on Health and Healthcare Reform, Kelda ensured 80,000 previously uninsured Wisconsinites received health care coverage. Kelda worked across the aisle to modernize nursing regulations and expand healthcare access for rural and urban communities alike.

EXPANDED HEALTHCARE COVERAGE

Kelda passed AB940, providing funding to crisis centers, and domestic violence survivor services in Wisconsin-- protecting victims and their families.

FUNDING FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS

As Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin for four years, Kelda helped Wisconsin pass its first pro-choice law in three decades: the Compassionate Care for Rape Victims Act.

COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR RAPE VICTIMS ACT

While still in law school, Kelda helped pass Act 60, which prevented wrongful convictions in Wisconsin. In the legislature, Kelda passed SB 120, restricting police departments from extreme forms of use of force, and prohibiting certain procedures from occurring, with penalties for those who violate-- and passed SB 122, ensuring transparency in use of force policies.

PASSED LANDMARK CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM

Kelda passed SB 523, addressing unfair labor practices in violation of collective bargaining rights. Protecting workers, defending unions, and supporting Wisconsin workers.

<h2>How?</h2><ol><li>If you have not already, email <a href="mailto:forward@keldaroys.com">forward@keldaroys.com </a>to get connected with high-traffic canvassing locations, best practices, and signature goals.</li><li>Download and print the nomination papers found <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V9utXvwgWefLS_CBBVLDY3GTpImPOELn/view?usp=drive_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here.</a></li><li>At the bottom of the paper, fill in your name and residential address. Do not fill in anything else yet.</li><li>Ask up to 10 friends per sheet to sign for Kelda. Each signer must be at least 18 years old, live in Wisconsin, and be eligible to vote (they do not need to be registered). Every signer must fully complete their row. The nomination paper may not be left unattended on counters or posted on bulletin boards. Signers may only sign for one candidate in the governor's race.</li><li>After the page is complete, sign and date it. Do not fill in the “Page No.” field.</li><li>Mail the nomination papers to P.O. Wisconsin has many beautiful parks and public lands for conservation and recreation, but our future is threatened by climate change and weak environmental policies. Our most important industries -- agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism -- all depending on responsible stewardship of natural resources. Fighting climate change requires a real commitment to clean, renewable power, so that we can have a thriving economy that doesn't threaten our environment and natural resources. Smart energy policies will benefit our environmental and economic health while delivering clean, reliable, affordable energy. As governor, I will: <ul><li>Increase renewable energy targets for utilities so we can target Wisconsin being 100% powered by clean energy by 2050, and encourage pricing that supports rather than punishes clean energy</li><li>Invest in Wisconsin’s burgeoning clean tech sectors, including the design and development of advanced battery technology, fusion energy, sensors and controls, quantum computing, and advanced manufacturing</li><li>Create incentives and partnerships to make Wisconsin the technological center of clean energy and research</li><li>Require strong protections for workers and consumers on energy projects, making sure that well-trained and fairly compensated workers are building and maintaining our energy infrastructure, including renewables, and ensuring that all energy developers and producers meet strong safety standards</li></ul>
